Team

Thomas Holland, AIA

Principal CEO
As the owner and founder of PTS, Tom has dedicated himself to special projects and providing solutions to challenges in telecom clients for over 22 years. Tom’s experience is enhanced by his involvement with the deployment of over 10,000 sites. Add to that his 33 years of construction and project management experience, his specialization in equipment reconfiguration, “hotslide programming”, power upgrade management, and technology overlays and it’s easy to see that Tom is one of those rare innovators who are passionate about changing the game.

In 1990 Tom founded Holland & Company and specialized in real estate and construction risk management on a national basis. During this time he also provided construction dispute resolution, due diligence expertise on commercial properties, and expert consulting in scheduling and costs

In 1999, Tom put together a team of telecom rising stars and founded PTS. His depth of wireless experience helped him to enhance site design efficiencies - accelerating network deployments for national and regional telecom carriers, and providing workable solutions to otherwise unbuildable sites. He has also provided creative solutions to challenging projects which maximized system on-air time. Since then, he has worked on projects with carriers and DAS providers such as AT&T, T-Mobile, Clearwire, Sprint, Verizon Crown, ATC, Extenet, Mobilitie, and government. Most recently, Tom has consulted in emerging markets on logistics and methods.

Dinesh Kumar, PE

Professional Engineer
Dinesh brings a diversity of engineering experience to the PTS team. He has almost a decade of experience in civil and structural engineering in consulting, homebuilding, historic structures and infrastructure project management. With a background steeped in analytical side, he has also excelled in managing volume driven projects with tight timelines. A professional engineer, project management professional and an MBA, he brings a unique perspective to the projects he works on. His past clients include WSDOT, US Navy, NASA, and one of the largest homebuilders in the country.

Driven by timely delivery of projects, Dinesh focuses on streamlining the processes involved to reduce communication gaps and produce useful and constructible outcomes. He is in the process of creating National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying record which would enable him to obtain his engineering licensure in multiple states.

David Graff, PE

Professional Engineer
David is a responsive Professional Engineer aspirant who has been the primary engineering designer for 100+ wireless sites during the nearly 2 year he has been in the wireless telecommunications industry. In that time, he has been the primary design engineer for existing site analysis, site modification, and new build projects at PTS in California, Washington, and Oregon. Site analysis includes existing building rooftop analysis, along with monopole and lattice tower analysis, including their foundations. New Build sites include the design of equipment anchorage, antenna mount design, equipment support design, FRP screening design, and ensuring the structural adequacy of the site. To complete this analysis, David uses the computer modeling programs tnxTower and RISA-3D. In addition to structural duties, he also has the ability to complete Noise Reports and Non-Ionizing Electromagnetic Reports (NIER). Before coming to PTS, David worked at a structural engineering firm designing small steel structures such as platforms, stairs, walkways, guardrails, ladders, and rooftop fall protection. Additionally, he completed seismic evaluations of wood, masonry, and precast concrete buildings. These experiences have given him a knowledge base that allows him to succeed in the wireless industry. Currently, David is studying to take the Professional Engineering exam in the State of California in October of 2014.

Darcy Mertz Krewson

Her diverse background includes over 10 years in the wireless telecommunications industry designing thousands wireless sites and completing projects for all the major carriers. Darcy has also completed numerous projects across the country and has been a key team member for major wireless build-outs in several western states which earned her recognition from clients for her contributions to the success of their projects. She is skilled at maintaining great relationships with owners, vendors, and consultants because she offers guidance and assistance whenever it is needed and responds thoroughly and quickly. Darcy’s expertise and talents are central to the successful management of complex projects and are an asset in leading our architecture team.

Tim Bishop, EIT

Designer
Along with getting his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Idaho, Tim passed the FE exam to become an EI / EIT (Engineering Intern / Engineer-in-Training) and is working toward being able to take the PE exam to become a licensed engineer.

Since entering the telecom industry in 2012, Tim has gone on site walks; designed and drafted telecom site layouts and details for zoning and construction drawings; and under the direction of an engineer, has performed structural analysis of antenna mounting on monopoles, towers, rooftops, and other structures.
