PTS is pleased to announce their new partnership with the Housing Authority of Portland (HAP). PTS will be managing wireless communications equipment on more than 70 HAP properties in the Portland market. Many HAP properties are multistory buildings located within Portland’s urban core providing critical coverage not available with other sites. HAP has been a partner in wireless communication helping providing services to their residents and surrounding communities since the mid 1990s.

HAP was established in 1941 and is the largest provider of affordable housing in Oregon with an annual budget of approximately $105 million and employs 270 staff members. HAP services nearly 14,000 families – more than 33,000 residents.

Listed below outlines the Scope of Services PTS will be providing HAP:

UMTS File Audit

Los Angeles Area

PTS provided file audit services for a large number of sites in a short period of time for one of the nation’s top wireless providers. The audits included sites in the Los Angeles, Inland Empire, and Simi Valley markets in California for a UMTS overlay project. With 1,544 sites to manage, PTS designed a database to quickly and easily organize and analyze the site information. PTS services included the following:

• Hard copy files for 1,544 properties were accessed at client’s office
• 17 specific documents were pulled from 1,544 files (over 26,000 documents) in 4 weeks
• Soft copies of all 26,000+ documents created utilizing standardized naming convention
• All 26,000+ documents audited and standardized report created to provide client summary and recommendations for all 1,544 properties in under 6 weeks
• Zoning analysis provided to client for 146 jurisdictions in the Los Angeles Area
• Access database created for client to integrate file audit and zoning analysis with user-friendly tools and the ability to update at any time
• Client customized reports provided for comparisons, analysis, and informational purposes
• The deliverables included a removable hard drive with the customized database and 26,000 scanned files

Generator Project

Gulf Coast Area

PTS performed rapid file and physical site audits for sites in and around New Orleans, including some in Mississippi, for one of the top wireless providers in the country. The project included 75 sites for which the carrier needed to add generators. In addition, PTS completed site development services for all sites. The project specifics are as follows:

• 75 site walks completed in ten days
• Provided site audit/zoning analysis forms, site photos, and site drawings for all sites within a week of completing site walks
• Site design in high flood plain areas, including elevating generators on steel platforms to adhere to FEMA flood requirements
• Completion of 75 site drawings to include the proposed generator and the dynamic needs of the client, which included 14 rooftop sites
• Obtained building permits and lease amendments for the majority of the site.

PTS Delta Power Upgrade Project

Nation Wide

PTS was instrumental in upgrading DC power plants for over 6,000 sites in 30 states. This upgrade was a necessary step for installed systems to stay current with power plant technology and required capacity. The scope of work included project management, architectural and engineering services to update site drawings. It also entailed construction management and technical services such as equipment change-out, installation and testing. PTS also provided technical training for on-site staff. This project demonstrated PTS’ versatility and expertise in telecommunications power plant equipment as well as its ability to integrate systems into a live network and manage large-scale projects.
